Flower & leaf studies
I go hunting through gardens for exciting combinations of colours and shapes, usually with my macro lens, either hand-held or on a tripod.

Abstracts
Recent experiments in camera movement, where the outcome of each minuscule dance is unpredictable. (There are semi-abstracts in the other galleries, but the original subject is still recognizable.)

Garden details
Plant combinations, neglected corners, plus the odd garden view. Most of these were taken in local Welsh Border gardens, especially my own.

Landscape details
Favourite locations are the Victorian reservoir at Lake Vyrnwy, Powys; and Stapeley Hill, just in Shropshire, with its stone circles and mysterious earthworks.

Flower arrangements
These are all flowers I've grown myself (many from seed), photographed outdoors in natural light. Bunching flowers together like this makes for rich colour combinations.
